A Perfect Circle and J. Cole - A Union of Contrary Genres...
Two of the more MAJOR releases this year in my opinion based on anticipation and hype were A Perfect Circle's - "Eat The Elephant" and J. Cole's - "KOD". After about a month of listening to both, I found myself thinking (and over-thinking) where music is currently in relation to our socio-political climate. I often ponder these topics in my head and decided it would be better to get it down on "paper" so I decided to start this blog. If you like it EVEN BETTER! Also I felt it better to spend more than one listen and give some time for each album to "germinate" before making a review, and avoid publishing this at the same time as the thousands of other album reviews of both albums. For APC, this is the first album of new material in 14 YEARS; the last one being eMotive, which was mostly a collection of political and anti-war cover songs, and although great, not the same as new material
